North American Pipe Corporation begins AWWA C900-07 Production
To Whom It May Concern:
AWWA C900-07 PVC Water Distribution Pipe, Sizes 4”-12”, DR25 (PC 165), DR18 (PC
235), and DR14 (PC 305) provided by North American Pipe Corporation is manufactured
in accordance with the following standards:
AWWA C900-07 Standard for Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Pressure Pipe and Fabricated
Fittings, 4 In. Through 12 In. (100 mm Through 300 mm), For Water Distribution
ASTM F477 Standard Specification for Elastomeric Seals (Gaskets) for Joining
Plastic Pipe
ASTM D3139 Standard Specification for Joints for Plastic Pressure Pipes Using
Flexible Elastomeric Seals
The PVC material conforms to a cell classification of 12454 as defined by ASTM D1784
Standard Specification for Rigid Poly(Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Compounds and
Chlorinated Poly(Vinyl Chloride) (CPVC) Compounds.
These products are listed by Underwriters Laboratories, approved by Factory Mutual,
and are listed by NSF International to ANSI/NSF 61.
When installed in Factory Mutual insured applications the system pressure is restricted as
follows: DR 25 – 100 psi, DR 18 – 150 psi and DR 14 – 200 psi. These reduced pressure
ratings result from FM Global policies and not from the properties of the pipe provided.
The standard pipe laying length is 20 feet.
